An antenna is a transducer that converts radio frequency (RF) fields into alternating current or vice versa.

Key Concepts

Antenna gain describes how much power is transmitted in the direction of peak radiation purely compared to an isotropic source.

The angle between the half-power (-3 dB) points of the main lobe. Higher gain antennas typically have narrower beamwidths.
